Apart from maintaining sound relationships with European and US banks we constantly seek for business opportunities in developing regions. We achieved great success in building partner relations with banks from the attractive Asian region. For the time being we have established correspondent relationships and mutual risk limits with leading Chinese banks, that enabled us to become one of the first Russian banks to start cross border transactions with Chinese RMB. Bank ZENIT is an active member of Sino-Russian Sub-Commission for cooperation in financial sphere. We also work in close co-operation with banks in Korea, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.
Sound financial position and good public image of Bank ZENIT ensures easy access to international sources of long-term liquidity. The Bank entered international market for syndicated loans in 2001 and successfully closed 11 syndications. The last transaction was signed in November 2011.
Since 2003 ã. Bank ZENIT acts as an active participant of eurobond market. The first issue in the amount of USD 125 mln was repaid in June 2006 and the second USD 200 mln. issue that was launched in October of the same year was fully repaid in October 2009.
In 2008 Bank ZENIT started its cooperation with Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB), international financial institution established by Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine. In February 2008 BSTDB provided a 5-year USD 25 million bank-to-bank loan to Bank ZENIT for financing small and medium-sized corporate clients. In June 2009 Bank ZENIT and BSTDB signed a 7-year USD20 mln. Subordinated loan agreement and in June 2011 BSTDB provided a 10-year USD 20.5 mln Second Subordinated Loan to Bank ZENIT.
